Each climb is on smooth tarmac. Each climb is on a narrow winding mountain road. Each climb has amazing views!
芝峠はじょんのび村のキロメートルゼロからスタート！
Shiba Pass starts at kilometre zero in Jyonnobi Village!
最初にはヘアピンが多い
The first part has hairpins.
「夜の狐祭り」で有名な栃ヶ原村の前に急な坂道がある
There is a steep section to Tochigahara village home of the famous "night fox festival".
栃ヶ原を過ぎると景色が素晴らしいですよ！
After Tochigahara the views are wonderful!

峠の頂上にはブナの古代林が広がっています
At the top of the pass is ancient "Buna" beech forest
運が良ければ松代の上空に広がる「雲海」も見ることができます
If you are lucky, you can see the "sea of clouds" above Matsudai
